PANCAKE

Four years ago i was in America and i ate pancake for the first time. I liked them a lot so here is the recipe!
INGREDIENTS

250 grams of flour, 400 ml of milk, 30 grams of butter, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of  baking powder for desserts and salt.
PREPARATION

Sift the flour into a bowl, add a pinch of salt, a teaspoon of sugar and one of baking powder.
In another bowl, mix the eggs, milk and melted butter in a double boiler. Mix  quickly the two compounds.
COOKING

Butter a nonstick pan, pour a spoon of compound rolling the pan to distribute it well and cook on both sides. Repeat the process until the depletion of all ingredients.
In the tradition  the American pancakes are garnish with maple syrup, but you can try them according to your taste with chocolate, honey, melted butter or as you wish.
Enjoy your meal!



PANELLE



This is a delicious Sicilian recipe.
  • Chickpea four
  • Olive oil
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Parsley
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges



Grease a baking dish with some oil. Bring 2 cups water to a boil in a small saucepan. Put the chickpea flour in a large bowl. When the water comes to a boil, gradually add it to the bowl with the chickpea flour, whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Put the mixture into the saucepan you used to boil the water, add salt, parsley and black pepper and bring to a boil. Reduce to a gentle simmer, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, stir and cook for just a minute.
Now scoop the chickpea mixture onto the baking dish and spread it into an even layer. Let it cool, and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Now cut the chickpea mixture into rectangles, about 3 inches long. Put ¼ inch oil in a large skillet; heat to 250. Gently drop the panelle into the hot oil. Cook, rotating them until they’re golden all over, 3 to 4 minutes. Drain fries on paper towels and immediately sprinkle with salt and lots of pepper.
Serve hot, with lemon wedges.

WAFFLE

Ingredients: 500 gr. of flour, 250 gr. of butter  for cooking, 400 gr. of sugar, 5 eggs, 1 pinch of salt and icing sugar. In order to prepare waffle you must first obtain special waffle maker that is commercially available in different shapes and sizes.
Whipped  the egg yolks with the sugar until become a cream frothy. Add the sifted flour and  melted butter in a double boiler with a pinch of salt. Whipped  the egg whites  and mix gently to the mixture.

Cooking:
Grease the waffle iron, extract the compound a bit at a time and cook.
Serve sprinkled with icing sugar.

Ideas and variations:
Waffle are great served according to your taste with grain of hazelnut or sprinkled with custard.
You can also add to the mix a pinch of cinnamon. They are great
eaten hot with fresh fruit, maple syrup, chocolate, cream or ice cream.
